Funding Order

When scheduling an event on the calendar, the system will use the following order to fund the event:

  1. Membership Type Services – The system will first check for available membership type services linked to the member.
  2. Other Available Services - If the system does not find available Membership Type services, it will check for other available services linked to the member using the following rules:
  1. Use primary services before transfer services.
  2. Use metered services before unlimited services.
  3. Use services with expiration dates in expiration date order. (For example: A service that expires on 10/31/2015 will be used before a service that expires on 11/1/2015.)
  4. Use the oldest created services first. (For example: A service with a created date of 8/1/2015 will be used before a service with a created date of 9/1/2015.)

If a service that is currently associated with an event in pending status is unmapped from the event, the system will keep the current event funded for any member using the removed service.

Membership Type Funding Indicator

If an event is funded by a Membership Type service, the calendar will display the following information:

  • The event will be displayed as an unlimited (UNL) service.
  • The calendar entry will display the Membership Type indicator.
  • When you open the event, you will see that it is funded by the Membership Type service.
